Authentic spirituality is not so much about the death of self as it is about the transformation of self into the nature and likeness of Jesus; He turns water into wine. This is the final surrender, but our awareness of being separate from others remains intact because we are meant to be a family; not just become one with the “One,” break the cycle of birth and death, or even just go to Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is within. This story will not end until the Utopian Garden of Eden is restored on earth and inhabited by the universal priesthood.
