I am gaining a better understanding of limitations and their transcendence. I once told my husband that we have to become aware of our limitations in order to transcend them. That is true, I suppose, but we must examine our motives for wanting to transcend them.
Sometimes a fence is at the side of the road as a way of saying, “do not enter.” Why would I think that in the invisible realm, a barrier (or limitation) means “get a bulldozer and tear it down?” I am starting to see that maybe I should stay within the limits in order to find out where the fence ends. I trust it ends at a love that knows no bounds.
I have been like a kid on the cars at Six Flags who had the idea that the point was to jump the tracks and to drive the car to whatever place I could dream of. When I look at it that way, I can see how full of self-will those ideas are. I think I better just scoot over and enjoy the ride; just get on the unicorn and stop telling it where to go.
