And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. – Matthew 14:35-36
We must become aware of every single thought we have; and become willing to release all thoughts that are not motivated by love. Most of us will say, “I can’t do that! It’s impossible!” So, if we think this is impossible, we can call on the One who makes all things possible; the One who literally died to prove that there is no death, that there is nothing worth holding a grudge over. This is the purpose of Jesus; not to get us to some place in the future called Heaven; where some are allowed and some are not; but to get us to a place of total peace within – a place where we realize that nothing can separate us from the love of God; or from each other. This place is NOW; the place where thought is suspended and love prevails. One drop of NOW is to touch the hem of the garment; to be with God and to be one with God. This is the gift from Jesus: to know we’re not alone, but to know that we need nothing; that everything we need is already inside of us – each of us. To walk with Jesus is an inner journey; an insploration where we close our useless eyes and open our minds – to see eternity.
